A Tale of Happiness

It was a tale. Or a mirage. Or something vague.

It was a dream only briefly achieved, but one that could last forever.

It was the fire in their eyes that looked so much like hope. But it was taken away by the icy, freezing water of fear.

It kept them from their dream, but it won’t keep me from mine.
