Aim Higher

I’ve always been very ambitious and know what my goals are for the future. I don’t usually feel the need to share them out loud, but I know what I want and what I need to do to achieve it.

I’ve found that aiming higher than what your goals initially were is the best way to ensure you are always doing a little more than what you’re expected to do, meaning you’ll end up either reaching your goals or even surpassing them.

Everything I do in life I try to do so that it helps me reach some kind of goal, whether that be a personal or professional goal, and most times it seems to work for the best.

Are you ambitious? What do you do to achieve your goals?

  1. Yes, aiming higher ensures that, even if you fail, you still managed to get a lot more done than if you had set an attainable goal.

As for me, I visualize. A lot. I know everything about my goal, how it will feel, how I’ll feel, how my life will look like. A strong enough why moves us towards our goals a lot faster than anything else.

  2. I set small goals. I have a tendency to overthink what I am actually capable of doing. Also, sometimes I don’t set goals. I create a to-do list that results in a goal. I think goal is such a loaded word these days. I needed to change the word to something that didn’t intimidate me.

  3. I use my planner and set my goals for the week. I also separate them as Personal goals, Family Goals, Blog Goals etc and check them off for the month. Whatever your goals are, big or small, as long as there is something you look forward to than not having at all.
